Celebrating 37 Years of Promoting "Aging Well, Living Well" We are excited to once again host the Northwest Arkansas Senior Games in the spring of 2024. See below for all the details about this years event. In the spring of 2019 a crowd of 225 seniors converged on Harrison to participate in the Northwest Arkansas Senior Games' track, field and fun events. The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas sponsors the event each year and has announced dates for the 2024 games. The 37th Annual NW Arkansas Senior Games will kick off with the women's 8-ball pool competition on Friday, April 12, and the men's 8-ball pool competition on Friday, April 19, at the Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 100 E. Clark Street in Jasper, Arkansas. The bowling competition will be held on Thursday, April 25, at Oddball Social, LLC, (formerly Cottonwood Bowl) Harrison, Arkansas. The big track, field and fun event day will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024. The track and field events will be held at the F.S. Garrison Stadium and Cash Center, Harrison Senior High School at 1754 Burlsway in Harrison, Arkansas. The competitions will include events for the serious competitor as well as a host of recreational and fun games including: a wide variety of walks, dashes, and runs, even a 3K run; shot put, running long jump, javelin, and standing long jump; dominoes, baggo, daisy air gun, softball throw, stationary cycling, basketball shoot, spin casting, football throw, nail pounding, Skip-Bo, and a balloon bust relay. The competitions are divided into age groups. Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. To see eligibility requirements and print a registration form, click here.
